 Worst GTA Ever January 9, 2009
I was so excited for this game, so were many, many other people. And it's a HUGE disappointment. When first playing the game, I had to change the color, brightness, etc, just to play/see the game. I think it has potential, if they didn't change the controls, and you could actually see the screen. I only played the game twice, didn't even get the chance to play an actual mission. It's just too... I don't know. They tried too hard. I don't know how anyone could like this game. It's really bad.

I am a huge GTA fan and I, too, purchased this game on release night. After 6 months, I totally regret the experienced as well as the anticipation for this game.
Here is the pros;
1. Graphics are the best in video games period.
2. Music is stellar, but pop or more popular tracks are rare.
3. Loading time is excellent with the exception of the installation and beginning of the game.
CONS;
1. Cover system is weak. When trying to cover from enemies, occasionally you end up lean towards the wrong cover.
2. Driving is laughable in a bad way. I understand the realizism their trying to create, but driving 7 mph doesn't NOT cause a vehicle to fishtail or achieve a reverse 180 degree turn. What? Is this Liberty City's streets covered in butter.
(Rockstar won't fix that is a problem)
1. The whole loading/saving procedure is annoying and tiresome. I'm playing and I don't need to spend 7 minutes to get to a saving/loading area.
2. Respawning vehicles was annoying in GTA: San Andreas and it's very annoying here. Mercenaries(Glitch-o-mania) and Far Cry 2 have fix this problem, but Rockstar seem to think that it's fun for players to have cop cars and others to magically appear when, at first glance, looked like a clear road.
3. Driving.
This game is worth renting. Wait until the price gets closer to $40 dollars than its worth purchasing.

Good game just like real like in today's world January 6, 2009
I must agree with the critics the game is real good and does incorporate all the crimes in today's world:- Drugs, prostitution, human trafficking,(selling body parts and body organs) burglarly, murder, kidnapping, gambling you name it and the list goes on and on and on.
The story line was like a good italian mafia movie and the characters were strong and comical the ending had a nice twist love the "both" endings.For true gamers and game collectors this is a must have you wont waste your time!!
Still great, but GTA III had something more... January 6, 2009
I love the Grand Theft Auto Series, I wasn't that happy with Vice City compared to GTA III. IV really brought something back, but it still isn't the same. It almost seems like it is hard to see around the 'world' the perspective is off just a little.
But I do have to say, this is one of my favorite PlayStation games of all time, along with Battlefront, The Force Unleashed, Little Big Planet, and Assassin's Creed.
Definitely get this game!
